The girls love their watermelon-scented, pink "googles", as Maddie calls them. :)
The girls began swimming lessons last night, at West High. They did wonderfully! It was Maddie's first time at a pool. Her only other "swimming" experience was during our trip to Mexico last year (February 2009) and she never ventured any deeper than her knees. Last night, though, she went right into the water with hardly any hesitation, only stopping at putting her head in the water, but I bet she'll try that soon. They were both extremely happy the entire time and Maia has already advanced to Level 3. When it came time to go, however, Maddie turned into an infernal demon, yelling her disapproval over and over. She told Tyler that we could all go home and she would stay in the pool. It got even worse when Maia was presented with stickers for advancing to Level 3 and Maddie wasn't. Sigh. The joys of willful toddlers!
